Artist's statement

"Putting colour and light into an emerging image is a considerable joy.  The physicality of the paint and how it reacts to being applied with different tools and mediums means that there is a constant cycle of learning.  The process is more important than the finished image."

The mixed media paintings are explorations of memories.  They are in fictional space, a type of shifted reality.
